The Boost Cooler® is Snow Performance’s latest
generation water/methanol injection system. The primary function of
water/methanol injection is to provide “chemical intercooling”. In
gasoline engines, as with any intercooler, this suppresses detonation so more
power producing boost and timing can be utilized. Water, with its high latent
heat of vaporization cools the intake charge and combustion. Methanol cools the
charge and combustion but also acts like an extremely high octane fuel (some
researchers claim as high as 120 octane) as well as adding more oxygen to
combustion.
Stage-2 Includes:
- Upgraded 140 psi high volume pump (220 psi in over 600 HP applications)
- Mass Air Flow Variable controller that varies the quantity injected vs.
amount of air entering the engine
- 2 quart reservoir
- 2 nozzles sided to your FWHP & boost levels
- Bosch relay and all electrical parts
- Fittings, tubing etc. for a full installation
The Electronic Variable Controller from Snow Performance
represents the latest technology in Water/Methanol system control. The
controller is designed to increase injection pressure over a user adjustable
range and quickly shut off when boost pressure drops to prevent misfire. No
special MAP or MAF is required. The controller has a .2 to 5 volt output signal
(denotes 2.9 to 36.3 manifold boost psi) that can be used for an input to other
applications. The small rugged design and easy setup makes the EVC the logical
choice for automotive/off road enthusiast.
Features:
- Controls Injection Pressure as a function of Boost
- Fully Integrated Boost Sensor 0 to 30 psi
- 0-5 Volt Boost Signal Output
- 1.5% Maximum Error over 0 Degrees to 85 Degrees Celcius
- Potted Electronics and Rugged Design for Under Hood Applications
- Easy Adjustment and Setup
- Electronic Resetable Fuse and Transient Voltage Suppression to Protect
Controller.
